It is the first time the showcase is being staged at a real-world convention, with an in-person crowd attending on May 30 and May 31. The broadcast streams free on the official Minecraft YouTube and Twitch channels for everyone watching from home.

What Mojang Will Reveal

The official tease from Mojang reads: "Beyond the Chaos Cubed update, Mojang will also reveal new features planned for the Autumn 2026 update." That is the term Mojang is using — there is no official name yet, and the "Temple Update" label that has been circulating in fan-wikis and leak threads is not a Mojang term. Treat it as community speculation.

Based on Mojang's own teaser channels, recent snapshot work, and TwitchCon promotional copy, here is what we are realistically expecting on May 30:

• Chaos Cubed (26.2) launch confirmation — The summer update is in snapshots already. Live should lock in the final release date (community guess: mid-June). Expect a polished feature trailer.
• Autumn 2026 update reveal — Mojang's headline announcement. No name, no firm date, but expect at least one new biome and one major hostile mob teaser. This is the slot Live always uses for the year's biggest reveal.
• The annual mob vote — Mojang reinstated the community mob vote last year. Three candidates are expected to be unveiled and put to a public vote during the broadcast.
• TwitchCon-exclusive segments — Crowd interactions, on-stage demos with players, and (historically) at least one surprise Marketplace or merch announcement.
• Vulkan rendering for Bedrock progress update — Already tested in earlier snapshots. Expect a wider rollout timeline.

Anything beyond that — including the "1.26" version label that some leak threads are pushing — should be treated as unverified until the broadcast happens.

What This Means for Server Owners

Every Minecraft Live brings two waves of server churn: a spike during the broadcast itself as players jump in to try announced features in the latest snapshot, then a much bigger spike when the autumn drop actually ships. If you run a server, here is how to be ready:

• Snapshot the night before — Mojang historically releases a "preview snapshot" within hours of Minecraft Live. Take a clean backup of your world before updating, because the new chunks will be unstable.

The official broadcast is free on YouTube (Minecraft channel) and Twitch (Minecraft channel). Mojang historically also live-translates the event into Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, and Japanese on dedicated regional channels. Pre-show coverage from the TwitchCon floor begins roughly an hour before the main event.
